I was looking for roles as a social media coordinator or content specialist, but every job description now asks for "AI content generation" skills. Is AI replacing entry-level jobs in the US right now by making human creativity obsolete? It feels like agencies are just using Midjourney and ChatGPT instead of hiring interns and juniors to do the creative brainstorming.

In the marketing world, "quantity" is being taken over by AI, but "quality" and "strategy" are still 100% human. An AI can write ten blog posts in a minute, but they will all sound generic and fail to rank because they lack original insight. Agencies are looking for juniors who can "direct" the AI. Think of yourself as an editor-in-chief rather than just a writer. If you can show that you know how to maintain a brand's unique voice while using AI to scale production, you will be much more valuable than someone who just writes manually.
Since AI can generate so much content, does this mean SEO is going to become even harder because the web will be flooded with AI-generated fluff?

Eric, that is exactly what's happening. Google is already updating algorithms to penalize "helpful content" that is clearly unoriginal AI spam. This is why human marketers are more important than ever—we need to provide the E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trust) that AI simply cannot fake.
