I am currently finishing my CSM training in Los Angeles and I am looking for a few study partners to prep for the final exam. It would be great to connect with people who are also ready to drop your resume for Scrum Master positions in the local tech scene. Does anyone want to meet up virtually or in person to review the latest Agile Manifesto principles and sprint ceremonies?

Finding a local cohort in California is a brilliant move because the networking opportunities are just as valuable as the study sessions. When you are preparing to drop your resume at major firms in Silicon Valley or Silicon Beach, having a group to practice mock interviews with can make a huge difference. I found that discussing real-world blockers and daily stand-up scenarios helped me internalize the Scrum framework much faster than reading a handbook alone. Most recruiters in the 2025 market are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a mindset shift, not just someone who has memorized the guide for a test.
I am based in San Diego and looking for the same thing; are you focusing specifically on the Scrum.org or the Scrum Alliance curriculum for your certification?
I’m in San Jose and definitely interested. Having a peer review of your resume and your portfolio of sprints is a game changer for the local job market.
Donna is right; peer reviews are essential. A fresh pair of eyes can spot gaps in your experience that you might have overlooked while studying.
Charles, I am actually following the Scrum Alliance path, but I think the core principles are similar enough that we could definitely benefit from shared sessions. I am particularly interested in deep-diving into backlog refinement and how to handle stakeholder expectations during a sprint review. If we collaborate, we can sharpen our answers for when we finally drop your resume for those competitive senior roles.
