I am struggling to grow my B2B email list for my SaaS startup. We’ve tried a basic "Subscribe to our Newsletter" popup, but the conversion rate is less than 1%. What types of lead magnets are actually working right now to attract high-quality professional leads in the tech industry?

In the B2B space, "newsletters" aren't enough of an incentive anymore. You need to offer high-utility assets. In my experience, proprietary data reports or industry benchmarks perform the best. Professionals love seeing how they stack up against their peers. Another high-converter is a "Toolbox" or a set of templates—like a Google Sheets calculator for ROI or a checklist for a complex process. We recently launched a "2024 Industry Salary Guide" as a lead magnet and saw a 12% conversion rate on the landing page. People will trade their business email for data they can actually use in a meeting.
Do you think gated video content or webinars still hold the same value they did a few years ago, or are people suffering from "webinar fatigue"?
Interactive quizzes are gold. A "What's your Marketing Maturity Score?" quiz gets people engaged and gives you great segmentation data right at signup.
I agree with Richard! Quizzes are fun and provide instant gratification. Emily, this also helps you tailor the follow-up emails based on their quiz results!
Patricia, I definitely think webinar fatigue is real. I’ve shifted toward "on-demand" mini-courses or 10-minute masterclasses. People want the information fast and on their own schedule. If you can promise a "5-minute fix" in a video, they are much more likely to sign up than for a 60-minute live session that they probably won't attend anyway.
