What are the full eligibility requirements for the PMI-RMP? ▾

The PMI-RMP is a specialist credential. With a Bachelor's degree, you need 3,000 hours of project risk experience within the last 5 years and 30 hours of formal project risk education (which this course provides). With a high school diploma, you need 4,500 hours of experience and 40 hours of formal risk education.

How much does the PMI-RMP exam cost? ▾

The exam costs $670 for non-members and $520 for PMI members. A PMI membership costs $139. It is more cost-effective to become a member first, as it reduces the exam fees and provides ongoing benefits.

How many questions are on the exam and how long do I have? ▾

The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions that must be completed in 150 minutes (2.5 hours). This requires strong decision-making speed and exam pacing. Our simulators are specifically designed to train you for this format.

I already have my PMP. Isn't this certification redundant? ▾

No. PMP establishes you as a project management generalist. PMI-RMP validates you as a risk management specialist. It goes deeper into modeling, analytics, governance, and decision frameworks used in complex and uncertain environments.

What is the passing score? ▾

PMI does not publish a specific passing percentage. Instead, performance is evaluated across domains. Our program is designed to help you consistently perform in the ?Proficient? benchmark range.

Can I take the PMI-RMP exam online? ▾

Yes. The exam can be taken online with remote proctoring, or in-person at Pearson VUE test centers. For regions where internet/power issues may occur, we recommend taking the exam at a test center to avoid disruptions.

What happens if I fail the exam? ▾

If you do not pass, it is not final. Our program continues supporting you with extended simulator access, additional coaching, and structured retake guidance until you earn your PMI-RMP certification.

How long is my PMI-RMP certification valid? ▾

The certification is valid for three years. To maintain it, you must earn 30 PDUs (Professional Development Units) specifically in risk management.

How do I document my 3,000/4,500 hours of risk experience? ▾
