I am looking to transition my career into Cloud Technology and I'm torn between the two giants. AWS seems to have more market share, but Azure is growing fast in corporate sectors. Which certification path offers better ROI for a beginner?

The choice really depends on your background. If you are already in an organization that uses Microsoft 365 and Windows Server, Azure is a very natural progression because of the seamless integration. However, AWS still holds the largest piece of the pie and generally has a more mature ecosystem of services. For a beginner, the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner is a great entry point. Both paths are lucrative, but AWS often has more startup opportunities while Azure dominates the Fortune 500 space. I would suggest looking at local job postings to see which one is more in demand in your specific city.
Do you think multi-cloud is becoming the new standard? Should I actually try to get foundational certifications in both to be more versatile for hybrid roles?
AWS has more documentation and community support, which makes it slightly easier to learn on your own if you don't have a corporate training budget.
Melissa is spot on. The community resources for AWS are endless, which is a huge plus when you're stuck on a configuration error late at night!
Jason, multi-cloud is definitely a trend, but for a beginner, it's better to master one first. Trying to learn both at once can be confusing because the terminology is different. Once you understand the core concepts of one provider, learning the second becomes much easier because the underlying logic of VPCs, Compute, and Storage remains largely the same across all major platforms.
