Is the CAPM useful for construction project management?

The question

I work in construction and we use very strict Waterfall methods. Is the CAPM still relevant for me, or is it too focused on tech and Agile? I want to advance in my company, and the PMP is the long-term goal, but I want to know if the CAPM will provide immediate value in a construction environment.
