One of the big selling points is the "Employer Consortium" with over 150 US companies. Does this actually lead to interviews, or is it just a marketing gimmick? I’m specifically looking at companies like Deloitte and Target mentioned in the Google Data Analytics Certificate promo. I'd love to hear from anyone in the US who actually got a job through this specific portal.

I used the portal after finishing my Google Data Analytics Certificate and I did get two initial screening calls—one with a regional bank and one with a tech contractor. It’s not a "guaranteed job," but it does help bypass the general LinkedIn "Easy Apply" black hole where thousands of people apply. The companies in the consortium have essentially agreed that they recognize the certificate as a valid credential for entry-level screening. However, once you get the interview, you are on your own to prove your worth. It's a legitimate door-opener in the American market, but you still need a solid resume.
Rebecca, did you find that you had to relocate for those roles, or were there many remote options available through that consortium portal?
I didn't get a job through the portal itself, but putting the badge on my LinkedIn definitely increased the number of recruiter DMs I received.
That’s a great point, Gregory. Even if the portal isn't the direct source, the SEO value of having the Google Data Analytics Certificate on your profile helps American recruiters find you during their searches.
Scott, there were a mix of both! Many of the larger US firms like Verizon or Deloitte had remote-friendly "Associate" roles listed. Just keep in mind that the remote roles are significantly more competitive. When I applied via the Google Data Analytics Certificate portal, I made sure to highlight my "Soft Skills" modules too, as these big US companies really value the communication and ethics training that Google includes in the course.
