I have been practicing with various mock tests and I am consistently scoring around 75% to 80%. However, I can't find any official information on the IIBA website regarding the exact passing percentage required for the ECBA. Does anyone who recently passed know if they provide a score breakdown or just a pass/fail result? I want to know if my current mock scores are high enough to be safe.

The IIBA is actually quite famous for not disclosing the exact passing percentage for any of their exams, including the ECBA. When I received my results in late 2023, the screen immediately showed "Pass," but the detailed email I got later only provided a performance summary. It showed whether I was "Proficient," "Moderately Proficient," or "Comparable" in each of the knowledge areas. Based on my experience and what I have heard in the community, if you are consistently hitting above 80% on reputable mock exams, you are in a very strong position to pass the real thing comfortably.
Patricia, thanks for that insight! When you say "performance summary," does the IIBA actually give you a numerical count of the questions you got right in each specific domain?
Don't stress too much about the exact number. Focus on the blueprint weightings; if you master the 25% and 20% sections, the smaller 1-5% sections won't break your chances.
Barbara makes a solid point. I focused heavily on the Requirements Analysis section and even though I felt shaky on Strategy Analysis, I still passed because I dominated the higher-weighted chapters.
No, David, they don't give a numerical count. It is strictly a categorical rating. For example, under 'Elicitation and Collaboration', it will just say your proficiency level. This is why it’s so important to focus on the domains where you are currently scoring lower in your mocks, as you won't know exactly how many marks you missed by once the actual exam is over.
