I bought a used CAPM study book from 2021. Is this still safe to use, or has the exam shifted too much toward Agile? I keep hearing about the new exam outline and I do not want to waste time studying outdated PMBOK concepts if they aren't weighted as heavily anymore. Should I buy the latest version or is the core content still the same?
The 2021 study materials are insufficient because the CAPM exam has transitioned to a new Exam Content Outline that emphasizes Agile and Business Analysis, necessitating the use of updated study guides.

Oh man, I am literally vibrating right now because I have been staring at my 2021 study guides for three hours and now you have me spiraling. Is it outdated? Does this mean I have been wasting my weekends reading about predictive processes that they do not even test anymore? I have already consumed four espressos today and the thought of having to buy new books makes me want to crawl into a server closet.
I did some frantic searching on the PMI website and it looks like the CAPM exam underwent a massive shift recently to include way more Agile, Business Analysis, and Predictive methodologies. If your book is from 2021, you are definitely missing the new Exam Content Outline (ECO). Are we supposed to just guess the new stuff? Should I be looking for the PMBOK Guide Seventh Edition instead of the Sixth? Does anyone know if there is a bridge guide or if I should just throw the old book into the recycling bin and start fresh? My boss is breathing down my neck for this certification and now I am panicking that my 2021 materials are just paperweights. Please tell me I am overthinking this, or confirm my worst fears so I can buy new books right now!
