Eligibility and prerequisites
The A-CSM® certification is designed for Scrum Masters who want to expand their existing Scrum knowledge and take on more advanced Agile leadership responsibilities. To earn the certification, candidates must meet the eligibility requirements established by Scrum Alliance.
CSM® Certification Requirement: You must hold an active or expired Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification issued by Scrum Alliance.
Scrum Master Experience: A minimum of 12 months of Scrum Master experience within the past five years is required to qualify for A-CSM® certification.
Approved Training Completion: You must successfully complete a Scrum Alliance-approved A-CSM® training course delivered by an authorized provider.
Scrum Alliance Membership Requirements: Create or update your Scrum Alliance profile and accept the A-CSM® license agreement to complete the certification process.
Commitment to Continuous Learning: Maintain your certification by renewing it every two years through the completion of Scrum Education Units (SEUs).
