What is the difference between PRINCE2 and PRINCE2 Agile? ▾

PRINCE2 is the pure methodology for project management - great for structure but often criticized as rigid. What is the format of the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exam? ▾

It is an "Objective Testing" format. You get 50 scenario-based questions. You have 150 minutes (2.5 hours). It is an open-book exam, meaning you can use the official PRINCE2 Agile Guidance manual. The pass mark is 60% (30 correct answers).

Is the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exam difficult? ▾

Yes. It is harder than the Foundation. The questions are not simple recall; they present a complex scenario and ask you to apply PRINCE2 Agile concepts to solve a problem. You cannot just "Google" the answer in the book; you must understand the logic.

What are the prerequisites for the Practitioner exam? ▾

You must hold a valid certificate in one of the following: PRINCE2 Foundation, PRINCE2 Agile Foundation, PMP, CAPM, or IPMA (Level A-D). If you don't have one of these, you cannot take the Practitioner exam.

How much does the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exam cost? ▾

The exam fee is set by PeopleCert and typically costs around $389. However, prices fluctuate. Our training packages often include the voucher at a discounted corporate rate.

Can I use my PMP certification as a prerequisite? ▾

Yes! This is a huge advantage. If you are a PMP holder, you skip the Foundation exam and go straight to the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner. It is the fastest way to add a global Agile credential to your PMP.

Is this certification valid in India? ▾

Absolutely. While PRINCE2 is UK-origin, it is the standard for many large MNCs, banks (HSBC, Barclays), and European captives operating in Paris. It is highly valued in the Service Delivery sector.

What is the "Open Book" policy? ▾

You are allowed to use the official hard copy of the PRINCE2 Agile manual. You can annotate it, tag it, and highlight it. You CANNOT use loose notes, printouts, or other books. Our course teaches you the "Tab Strategy" to make your book a search engine.

How long is the certification valid? ▾

The certification is valid for 3 years. To maintain it, you can either retake the exam, take a higher-level certification, or log CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points through a MyAxelos subscription.

PRINCE2 Agile vs. PMP-ACP: Which is better? ▾

PMP-ACP focuses on general Agile knowledge across many methods. PRINCE2 Agile focuses specifically on governance - how to manage Agile projects within a corporate structure. If you are a Project Manager dealing with steering committees and budgets, PRINCE2 Agile is more practical.

Does this course cover Scrum and Kanban? ▾

It covers them from a management perspective. You won't learn how to code, but you will learn how to interpret a Burn-down chart, how to run a Retrospective, and how to protect a Scrum team from management interference.

What is the "Hexagon" I keep hearing about? ▾

The Hexagon is the core model of PRINCE2 Agile. It defines six performance aspects (Time, Cost, Quality, Scope, Risk, Benefit). It teaches you to "Fix" Time and Cost (keep deadlines/budgets strict) while "Flexing" Scope and Quality criteria.

Can I take the exam online? ▾

Yes. PeopleCert offers Online Proctoring (OnVUE). You can take it from home in India, provided you have a private room and a stable internet connection. We recommend testing your system beforehand.

What is the salary for a PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner in India? ▾

According to industry data, certified professionals in India earn an average of INR 18-30 Lakhs per annum, depending on experience. Senior Program Managers with this credential often cross the INR 35 Lakh mark.

Do I need the hard copy of the manual for the exam? ▾

It is highly recommended. While there is an eBook version available inside the exam interface, it is clunky and hard to navigate on a single screen. A physical, tabbed book is much faster for finding answers.

This necessitates a longer course (typically 3-4 days) because we must dedicate time to Foundation terminology (closed-book preparation) before immediately pivoting to Practitioner application (open-book preparation). Are the classes live? ▾

Yes. Our "Instructor-led LIVE Class" is fully interactive and delivered via a high-definition video platform. This is not passive video consumption; it?s a working session. What if I miss a class? ▾
