What is the format of the Leading SAFe exam? ▾

The exam is a 45-question, multiple-choice test. It is web-based, closed-book, and timed. You will have 90 minutes (1.5 hours) to complete it.

What is the passing score for the SAFe Agilist exam? ▾

You must get 36 out of 45 questions correct to pass. This translates to a passing score of 80%. Our course materials and exam simulators are designed to get you well over this threshold.

Can I take the SAFe Agilist exam online? ▾

Yes. The exam is administered online through the SAFe Community Platform. You can take it from your own computer at any time within your 30-day access window. Unlike the PMP, it is not proctored, but it is timed and closed-book.

What happens if I fail the exam? ▾

Failing is a setback, but our program is designed for first-attempt success. If you do fail, you can retake the exam for a $50 fee. There is a 10-day wait for the second attempt and a 30-day wait for the third. Our pass guarantee means we'll support you with extended access and coaching.

How long is my SAFe Agilist certification valid? ▾

Your certification is valid for one year. SAFe is an evolving framework, and this annual renewal ensures that certified professionals stay current with the latest practices.

How do I renew my certification? ▾

Renewal is straightforward. You must pay an annual renewal fee (typically $100) directly to Scaled Agile. There is no exam required to renew this certification, but you must be a member of the SAFe Community Platform.

What is an Agile Release Train (ART)? ▾

The ART is the core of SAFe. It's a long-lived, virtual "team of teams" (typically 50-125 people) that includes all the roles and resources needed to build and deliver solutions. It's organized around a value stream and operates on a fixed cadence called a Program Increment (PI).

What is PI Planning? ▾

PI Planning is the most critical event in SAFe. It's an intensive 2-day event where all teams on the ART come together to plan the next 8-12 weeks of work (the Program Increment). This SAFe Agilist course includes a full simulation of this event.

How is SAFe different from Scrum? ▾

Scrum is a framework for a single team (5-11 people). SAFe is a framework for an enterprise (dozens or hundreds of teams). SAFe uses Scrum at the team level but adds the necessary roles, events, and artifacts (like ARTs, PI Planning, and Lean Portfolio Management) to coordinate those teams and align them with the business strategy.

Is this SAFe Agilist training course right for me if I'm a PMP? ▾

Absolutely. Many organizations moving to SAFe are looking for their PMPs and Project Managers to step into new strategic roles like Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Product Manager. This certification is the bridge from traditional project management to enterprise-agile leadership.

How long does the training take to complete? ▾

The live training is a 16-hour, intensive program. We offer it in two primary formats: a 2-day weekend bootcamp (8 hours/day) or a 4-day weekday-evening batch (4 hours/day).

Are the classes live or just pre-recorded videos? ▾

What if a work commitment forces me to miss a scheduled class? ▾

You won't fall behind. Every session is recorded and available within 24 hours. You also have the flexibility to attend the same session in any other running batch at no extra cost.

Completely flexible. You can switch between different batches (e.g., from weekends to weekdays) or formats (online to in-person) at any time during your program without penalty.

No. All you need is a standard web browser and a stable internet connection for our live online classes. We use standard tools like Zoom and digital collaboration boards (like Miro) that are accessible to everyone.
